Dumfries Table Tennis Club

Disability Group

Our Disability Group meets every Saturday morning for table tennis, socialising, exercise and fun. It’s a drop-in session where those with physical or learning challenges can improve both their table tennis skills and their confidence.

The group has activities for all levels, starting with simple bat and ball games, and if needed, using helpful adaptations such as coloured balls that are easier to see. Some more experienced members of the group also play in the Dumfries league and Smash competitions, and compete in the Club championships. There is also a friendly Disability Group championships each year.

The group is organised by coaches Dave Denholm and Kay Solaja, and several other club members assist at sessions. All are PVG checked.

The cost is £4 per session for non-members or £3 per session for members, and a basic membership is only £5 a year. There is no charge for accompanying Carers.

If you or someone you care for is interested, you can just drop in on a Saturday morning 9.30 – 10.30 to chat to Dave or Kay. Or if you have any questions, email info@dumfriesttc.co.uk and we will get back to you.

Accessibility

The club hall, seating areas, changing rooms and wheelchair accessible toilets are all on the ground floor, and we have wheelchair friendly tables.

There is some street parking directly by the club, and the Brooms Road carpark is just behind the building.
