Dumfries Table Tennis Club

Competition

Shannon 1

The Dumfries Table Tennis League is based at our club, and is open to players of all levels looking for friendly but competitive regular match-play.

For 2025/6, we are trying something a little different. As previously, teams will field 2 players, and each match will be four singles and one doubles. But now there will be an Autumn Season running from mid-Sept to early-Dec,  and a Winter Season from January – April. There’ll be promotion and relegation at the end of each season, along with trophies for winning teams and leading players. We hope that this format will make it easier for new players and teams to join the league, as there will be an option to start in January as well as September.

Teams and individuals need to register by Thursday 21 August to play in the Autumn League, just email activities@dumfriesttc.co.uk

In addition to the Dumfries League, we run tournaments and one-off events such as our annual club championships, which is always a busy but enjoyable weekend. We also run occasional fun tournaments like hard bat or mini bat events. Follow our Facebook page to be the first to know.

Many of our players also take part in national level events across the UK, and DTTC had three teams in the Scottish National League for 2024/5.

Danny Bajwa, Jason Fleming and David Sulkowski  represented Dumfries A in Division 1, with the squad sponsored by Genesis OHS and Your Move.

Dumfries B were in Division 4 with Dylan and Reuben De Silva, Calum Morgan and David Niven, while Dumfries C gave some of our juniors a chance of National League play in Division 6.

Check out Table Tennis Scotland’s latest Ranking list to see how our top players are doing.

See the Table Tennis Scotland calendar for details of national events, and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) for international competitions.

Speak to any of the club coaches or email coaching@dumfriesttc.co.uk if you are interested in exploring play at any of these levels.
