Sponsor Dumfries Table Tennis Club

We are delighted to welcome Your Move Dumfries, Fusion Renewables, Genesis OHS and Anderson Kilts who join Teessport as our main new club sponsors from 2024. By sponsoring our club they are supporting a local community organization which aims to inspire the next generation of table tennis players, while giving as many people as possible, young and old, the chance to play table tennis for exercise, fun and socialising.

We still have some sponsorship packages available for businesses or organisations who would like to gain exposure to a large audience locally and across Scotland. Download the DTTC Sponsorship 2023-24 brochure to discover more about the club and the range of packages on offer for businesses, organisations or individual supporters, and share in our success!

We receive multiple benefits from our association with TeesSport including significant discounts on Butterfly products for club members (apply through the club), additional reductions on kit for our national league squads, and provision of Butterfly 3-star balls for our domestic leagues. We highly recommend TeesSport for all your table tennis needs and Butterfly products in particular for their exceptional quality.

Anderson Kilts are another DTTC sponsor. Specialists in Scottish Highland dress, the Anderson family business is a true Dumfries institution, having started in 1854 and now in its sixth generation. Anderson Kilts has the largest highland wear hire stock in South Scotland and a wide range of kilts, trews, jackets and accessories to buy online and in their store in the heart of Dumfries. Whether it’s to hire or to buy, their experienced, friendly team makes sure customers are properly dressed, whatever the occasion. Anderson Kilts also offers a large range of menswear, gifts for men and women, tartan fabric, and alterations.

The Holywood Trust

The Holywood Trust is a key partner who has funded several major projects at Dumfries TTC. The Trust were the main funders of our club refurbishment that took place in 2019 and they have also contributed towards a salary for a development officer for 3 years. The Trust’s key aim is to help young people in Dumfries and Galloway from age 15-25. Dumfries TTC has a positive relationship with the Trust and many of our players have been successful in receiving funding from them in order to attend tournaments and training camps.

Table Tennis Scotland

Table Tennis Scotland, our national governing body, has a remit to develop table tennis throughout the country. As well as supporting local club development, they help to coordinate national and international events, maintain ranking lists etc. The Club is a member of TTS and all of our league players register as TTS members. This helps to support the governing body’s work as well as benefitting our Club and its members through insurance provision and development funding. We encourage all players and those associated with table tennis to become TTS members to support the development of the sport.

Active Schools

Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Active Schools initiative undertakes to get school children enjoying sport in the region. Dumfries TTC are pleased to be partners with the Active Schools team by supporting events at the Club that allow youngsters to experience the sport for the first time. Many of our national and international stars have come from getting involved in table tennis through the Active Schools programme.

Drumchapel TTC

Drumchapel TTC is a successful Glasgow club run by Terry McLernon MBE. Dumfries TTC has a long history of working with Drumchapel, and our players and coaches regularly visit there for training and vice versa. Drumchapel TTC is prominent in UK table tennis with teams in the British League, and many of our top players have gone on to play for Drumchapel, which helps them gain valuable competition experience.
