Dumfries Table Tennis Club

Competition

Shannon 1

The Dumfries Table Tennis League is based at our club, and is open to players of all levels looking for friendly but competitive regular match-play.

For 2025/6, we are trying something a little different. As previously, teams will field 2 players, and each match will be four singles and one doubles. But now there will be an Autumn Season running from mid-Sept to early-Dec,  and a Winter Season from January – April. There’ll be promotion and relegation at the end of each season, along with trophies for winning teams and leading players. We hope that this format will make it easier for new players and teams to join the league, as there will be an option to start in January as well as September.

The final round of matches in this season’s Your Move Dumfries Table Tennis League is being played this week! In Division 1, Dinner Dinner Batmen and Top Bananas are battling it out for the title, while in Division 2, Young Guns pipped the Hardthorn Boys on head-to-head to take top spot. Division 3 was equally close, with the Hollywood Stars finishing as champions, just 2 points ahead of the Racquet Scientists. There will be a full round up of final league placings on the club’s Facebook page as soon as all the matches are completed.

The next season of the league will kick off week beginning 19th January – full season details and info on how teams and players can sign up will also be posted on Facebook shortly.

League results, tables, player averages etc. are available on Stadium

In addition to the Dumfries League, we run tournaments, regular Smash competitions, and our annual club championships.  Follow our Facebook page to be the first to know.

Many of our players also take part in national level events across the UK, and DTTC has three teams in the Scottish National League for 2025/6.
